Description
The Suzy-ama is 4,7 cm (1,85 inch) high and 3,0 cm (1,18 inch) wide (excluding the eyelet). The pendant as seen above on the picture is made of 18 carat gold, with in it 4 natural AA quality saphire stones (one trillion and 3 marquis shape). The picture on the left is an 'accident', but it's the same pendant.
What's the meaning of the Suzy-ama?
This pendant certainly has certain 'powers' so to say, but we don't know much about it yet, because only very few exist worldwide. It's 'powers' are related to Love. The Suzy-ama is hearth-warming, comforting, giving consolation. We consulted a well known psychic who has proven herself over the years by her sayings and she told us this jewel is strengthening the blood systems and the meridians. Besides that the following words were given. Funny for me was that she mentioned all words exactly as I had been thinking of them while modelling this pendant during long hours of filing, grinding, polishing etc. With thanks to Yvonne Baank, psychic in the Netherlands (www.in-the-future.nl).

How did the Suzy-ama come into existence?
The Suzy-ama, like all other art is made in co-operation with the Divine Light World. That may sound somewhat strange and it certainly is not my intention to put myself on a 'higher' level. I'm saying this because several weeks after my love Linda had died I uttered these words to 'Above': "From now on I wish to do everything in my life in co-operation wiht the Hereafter".
I didn't have the faintest idea were this would bring me, but I knew for sure that my life would change for ever.
Anyway... this pendant has been made by inspiration from... the Lightworld, and I'm sure my beloved Linda was on top of it. Of course there's a story to be told...
In 2003 we (my new love Marianne and I) visited a very ill woman in Belgium on a regular base. She had a very advanced form of bone cancer, and was suffering from this for more than 8 years already, with lots of untreatable pains. She and her husband Eric did what they could to fight this illness. When we met them for the first time it was as if I stepped back in time when Linda was fighting her cervical cancer and her extreme incurable pains. It came as a shock to me to be confronted with my own past, seeing the despair in Eric's eyes as he knew deep down inside that they were fighting a hopeless battle, but could not admit the thruth. I knew this so well!
I recognized their despair and their pain and maybe because I had lived through this same period I was able to talk to them in a way only people can who recently have experienced something alike. In the meantime Marianne was treating Suzy as a therapist to ease her pains.
Suzy was weary of life, but she was still fighting her pain like I had seen Linda fight hers. She was so ill that physically we couldn't do anything for her, but our presence was a relieve to Eric and Suzy, because they knew we understood. Marianne had treated Linda in her last months, so also for Marianne it was like stepping back in time, when she met us for the first time.
During my talks with Suzy I felt supported by Linda and one of the things I told Suzy was that she shouldn't fight her pain, but face it. Because the kind of pain she had was, like Linda's, no normal pain, but a very deep pain, as if coming from her soul itself. Fighting such pains is impossible, because you can't fight your own soul. Accepting the pain, facing what it tries to tell you, is what it asks from you. Don't run for me, don't fight me.... but listen.
In the acceptance lies the answer and the solution to get past the pains.
Indeed something changed in Suzy over the months we saw her. It was somewhere during these months that she asked me a question: "Would you please design me something special, a jewel of gold. As a gift for Eric. To remind him of me."
I told her that would probably take more time that she had to see it finished. But I was able to show her the sketches and the saphires that would be in it. She was very satisfied with what I could show her.
Between Eric, Suzy, Marianne and me a friendship evolved, but we had to accept the fact that Suzy had only a very short time to live on Earth, as her illness was in the final stage.
About half a year after she died I was able to finish the pendant.
In the year after this Marianne and I attended to expo's and fairs, showing pictures of jewels I designed. People paid much interest to the pendant, and asked if it was for sale. I had to say 'no, this one has been made for Eric', telling them the story behind it. But after many such questions we decided to ask Eric's opinion to get his precious jewel reproduced. And he replied 'Yes, it would honour Suzy'.
So I made another original pendant (to prevent getting the personal energy of Eric and Suzy in this new pendant). The only difference is that it's slightly bigger, but the symbolism and its meaning, the power of Love, certainly are in it.
And then it got its name : Suzy-ama
'Ama' is from the Latin 'amare', which means 'to love'. Besides that, during Linda's illness we had come into contact with a light being listening to the name 'Ama' . Also in old languages it means 'mother' and Suzy was a good mother. So 'Suzy-ama' means: Suzy, the beloved.
People who wear this pendant say that it is a very comforting pendant, it helps against dark thoughts and sad moods.
